The Superflux or Piranha LEDs have a square format, for that have a wide beam and a high luminosity (80°).
How To Use:
Below the dome there are two extended legs: the longer leg is the positive polarity, called anode and the shorter leg is the negative polarity, called cathode. These legs indicate the way in which the LED should be connected to the circuit.
These LEDs can be used in three different ways:
- Individual: LED power directly from the power supply, either by means of a regulated supply, or with the use of resistors or regulators. It must supply the LED the desired voltage in work values.
- Parallel configuration: Powering a group of LEDs connecting all of the anodes together and all of the cathodes together, using the required tension regulated by a single resistor in series.
- Series configuration: powering a group of LEDs connected sequentially. The number of LEDs used for series is limited by the voltage delivered by the power supply. In most cases a resistor is required to compensate for voltage differences per series of LEDs. Various parallel series can perform using the same power source.
Polarization: the positive pole of the power supply must be connected to the anode, the longer leg (or the beginning of the series), while the negative pole must be connected to the cathode, the shorter leg (or the end of the series).
Applications: They are usually used for signals, decoration and signs. They also are often adapted for automotive use and as replacements for fluorescent bulbs.
Technical Data

Working Current: 20mA
Working Voltage: Power Supply Recommendations:
- DC3.1V @ 20mA: -Blue and Cool White
- Voltage min. Power: DC2.8V
- Voltage max. Power: DC3.6V

Available colors: blue and cool. Coming soon in green, red, RGB, yellow and warm white colors and Superflux LEDs triple chip with the same format, but with the double of light.
Attention: The Operating Voltage of this product is DC; never connect it to AC directly.
For optimum performance, do not exceed maximum load and the Power Supply should be 20% (approx.) stronger (Amps) than the total required to run your system.
Don’t forget to buy the following:
-power supply (We recommend DC3.3V @ 20mA ),
